September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, but for Lighthouse Family Retreat is it just another day of the 365 days of the year that they are helping to bring joy to families with children fighting cancer. Cancer doesn’t come one month out of the year, but can bring months to years of suffering to children and their families.
There are many ways to help. Donating money for research is one very popular and very beneficial way to help. Then, there is giving the family with a sick child an opportunity to try to forget the terrible disease for 1 week. Lighthouse Family Retreat provides this service. They provide a free vacation for these families with lots of play activities at the beautiful Santa Rosa Beach in Florida, bonding with other families with the same challenges and lots of helpful therapy for the adults.
